Our Name, and What We’re Here to Do
Our name brings together two words: “WA” (和), a Japanese word associated with harmony, and “VIA,” meaning a way or path. That’s what we aim to be: a trusted path between Japan’s makers and buyers around the world.
We help overseas buyers discover and source products that are difficult to find outside Japan—from traditional seasonings and regional foods to tea, tableware, and kitchen tools.
Japan is full of exceptional products that never make it overseas. A soy sauce brewed by the same family for generations. A vinegar made in a small regional brewery. A tea known locally but rarely seen beyond its home region. These products often aren’t available internationally simply because the right connections and support haven’t been there.
That’s where we come in.
We work with makers in Japan to bring their products to buyers abroad, and we help make the process reliable—from finding the right products and producers to getting them delivered properly.
